Born in Belleville, Illinois in 2001, AJ Mitchell may be a singer-songwriter who rose to fame because of many short covers he posted on his Instagram page. After being discovered for his songwriting and incredible vocals on Instagram, AJ moved to l. a. in 2016 to pursue his career as a recording artist and songwriter. In 2017 he released his debut single “Used to Be”, which became a viral hit and gained over 1.5 million streams in only over 2 weeks. Since then, he has released two extended plays (Hopeful, 2018 and Slow Dance, 2019) after getting signed to Epic Records. He finally released his long-awaited debut album SKYVIEW during the summer of 2021.
